First Look

with a parent or loved one

The most common we see is the bride with her father, but can also be with your mom or sibling instead depending on your relationships and family dynamics!

Another idea we’ve seen is having the loved one escort the bride to her first look with the groom! It doesn’t take long at all, but make sure your loved one arrives on time and fully dressed in their wedding day attire.

While you may or may not have a first look with your fiance, you may want to share a special moment with mom or dad!

I have to admit these first looks always make me cry and was a top five highlight of my own wedding day! For a lot of parents, this is when everything feels real and it hits him that their little girl is all grown up. It's a sentimental moment to photograph and I highly encourage it for anyone who has the opportunity.

Pro tip: Keep the photos of your wedding dress a secret from them to make the surprise even sweeter!
